Today Is My Birthday
written by a first grader and
Today is my birthday, I’m so little and new.
The nurses have dressed me in either pink or blue!
There are two people who seem so happy and glad.
I heard someone call them my mom and my dad.
I will try to be good and sleep and smile.
For I have heard, I will be little for only a short while.
They hold me and cuddle me both together.
I heard them say I would be theirs FOREVER!
